Gods Word & Seeds

Luke 8:11-15  And the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.
Those by the roadside are the ones who hear; then the Devil comes and takes the Word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
Those on the rock are the ones who, when they hear, receive the Word with joy. And these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
And those which fell among thorns are the ones who, when they have heard, go forth and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of life, and do not bear to maturity.
But those on the good ground are the ones who, in an honest and good heart, having heard the Word, keep it and bring forth fruit with patience.

I read this today thinking on the scripture from Isaiah and how the word can return void because of the soil…or so it seems.

Isaiah 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God’s word can return void…or so it seems…..according to Jesus. Christ taught the opposite of what Isaiah said it seems on the surface. Does God want his word to be stolen by the Devil?  This was the question and my thoughts that I had in my mind as I read these 2 sections from the Bible. I think the understanding comes in that the intent of Gods word was to save sinners and reconcile sinners back to God. It did do that just not with every person. So in a sense it does do that which it was accomplished for and yet not everyone person but as a general overall word to the world it came back to God because it was sent to reconcile sinners back to Him and it did that. Now you can see how these 2 scriptures do not contradict each other but go together.

I don’t want to be like anyone but Jesus. Every time I read in the Bible where He was speaking I am awestruck at how He says the perfect thing at the perfect time…it’s because he had wisdom through Gods Holy Spirit. When I read the Bible I love to read what the Lord said…more so than any other part in the Word of God…I know it’s God speaking through other men who wrote the word but some how it seems purer through Him alone
