He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, is the lyrics from an old hymn written by Fanny Crosby that was based off of Bible verse from Exodus.
Exodus 33:21-22 - “Behold, there is a place by Me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while My glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with My hand while I pass by.”
I had a dream before me and my wife were married. We were engaged and I had this dream. I told one person this dream. We were sitting in a Bennigan's restaurant when I told this lady this dream. The expression on my future wife was like, 'OH crap here we go this is gonna be weird'
My soon to be wife and I were near an ocean walking on a path and I walked and slid down into these paths that were like trying to walk in a church isle as you are being seated. You know the late guy to service and everyone has to stand up so he can get through, it was tight like that. Yup, I guess I was the late guy. So as I walk into these slits on a cliff overlooking the ocean, I see this really is a church service going on in these cliffs above the ocean. It was pretty neat looking out over the ocean in a rock cliff seat. Each seat had a little rock spire in front, kind of like that backs of your pews of seats in church, but they were made of rocks and it was a spire-triangle shape.
The only person on the beach was our Pastor. He was standing on the beach preaching to us in the cliffs of the rocks as the waves crashed behind him. The Holy Spirit grabs me and tells me that God wants him to say something and he isn't saying what God wants him to say, and I can see this struggle. So I start to pray really earnestly and by doing this he struggles more to say it. I can tell he does NOT want to say what he is about to say. As I push harder praying to God, "make this man say it Lord". Finally reluctantly he bursts out with it.
Now I know what it is that God wants him to say while this is going on. The Pastor finally looks at us in the Cliff and says, "Everyone should hear God like--and he blurts out my name and my soon to be wife's name." You could tell he didn't want to say it but God made him say it. Then everyone in the cliff looked at us, and we stood up. I knew why God wanted him to say it, because we were the real deal seeking God, and we heard great and mighty things. Hence why we got married.
Now the meaning of this dream is our Pastor who is a widely know Pentecostal Pastor who has his own radio show and other things will never tell you the real TRUTH, they let money and fame blind them, but they will never admit this. I had seen through the scams and wanted to become a REAL_Shepherd. Not the hirelings you find in Ezekiel 34. This man was a hireling, while the REAL_Shepherd's get trampled underfoot. The funny part maybe is me wanting to be a REAL_Shepherd means perhaps God will show me the return of Christ first, and again God shows the Messiah to the REAL_Shepherds to pass the story along yet again.
