We were headed over to a Bible Study group with a bunch of people we minister with in the Homeless Ministry. I wanted to give them a word from the Lord. Each person was supposed to bring something from the Lord to the group, maybe something they read or and idea the Lord had given or a word. So I prayed and God delivered me a word so strong it has lasted over 30 years and I have shared it often with churches and groups.
John 6:38
Romans 10:10
For with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
We think that this was just a one-time thing. But if we are working out our salvation then we need to keep confessing. If you have a part of your life that is not right with God, confession is the way to salvation in that area.
So these were the words God gave me:
Why will you not confess this thing to me? For it is certainly death for you and you need saved from it. Confess it and receive salvation for it. Keep confessing it till you see my salvation in this thing (mistrust)
You must see the need of it. You must see how it cripples you. Always wondering will form doubt! You must confess it till you can walk in it (trust). This is the hindrance of my people.
You used to thrill at the hope of fully being able to lean on me. You had a reckless abandon towards the world. To live for me was your every thing. OH! How you could trust me. But now you wonder (question everything) So many distractions. You are so unsure it paralyses you to move out. You wonder, wonder, and wonder. It’s breaking your heart and killing your spirit and grieving mine.
You used to know how much I loved you. Within your hearts was real life for the first time. And Oh! How I loved you. But now you have grown cold. Repent and I will help you. Remember your first love and let it fill your mind. For this is a vision you need again. Put it in your mind and the Holy Spirit will overshadow it and bring it back. Yes children back to the joy and fullness of love and trust you once had. When it is accomplished. You will boldly say, “ Not my will but Him who sent me”. I will give you great joy in loosing your life and taking up mine.
My! How you live so cautiously and not in assurance and trust. You’re live like nervous cats and not bold as lions. Listen! For you have need of this trust for the task that is set before you. Trust in Me. I said I would never leave you nor forsake you. NOW believe this! You think if you miss & mess up, you will be own your own and that I will forsake you. Yes I know your hearts! Why not be, as a child and simply believe my words? Oh but you analyze them. Why not try believing them.
Now I am He who opens your minds to understand the scriptures, NOT you. Believe them now! For if a child fell off their bike what father would forsake them. Would I not even run faster to help? But this you have not believed. I am He who searches hearts. You are so cautious because of so much fear and you have fear because of unbelief towards me.
Oh! that the world would believe!
Oh! my children that YOU would believe!
