1. Speak things you know and have partaken in. If you have not eaten of it don’t speak of it.
- A. Rom 15:18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ did not work out by me for the obedience of the nations in word and deed
- B. 1Ti 1:6 some people have left these qualities behind and have turned to useless discussions. 1Ti 1:7 they want to be experts in Moses Teachings. However, they don’t understand what they’re talking about or the things about which they speak so confidently
- C. Give it out as you get it. Humility offers the same help it is getting, pride says I am there (perfect) and you need help. Those who seek to only know the wisdom of God so they can “correct” others are as useless as a hot breeze on a hot day, there insight should be for them first, then show your brother by living it out before him. Holiness has humbleness. Remember Pride says, “I am there and you need help”, but Humility offers the same help it is getting. Feed it to them with peace, so they may eat it with peace
2. Do nothing till you hear it from the Holy Spirit
- A. John 5:30 I can do nothing of my own self. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me.
- B. Mat 10:20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you
- C. Heb 5:8 though being a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things, which He suffered.
- D. John 16:13 however, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come
3. Use the common word of God to be your sword.
- A. Joel 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong
- B. Take the everyday working dirt covered word and use that to recite, not the big fancy theology. Take that which is common and use it for your offence and your defence. Take that which you have used everyday as a common tool and reshape it to defend and conquer. Ah, there it is “Take that which you have used everyday as a common tool and reshape it to defend and conquer”
4. Pray this “Lord when I speak give to me the words of Life so that the people will find you”
